Does the Sun Make Lightning Worse?

Solar events appear to make strikes on Earth more frequent.

Researchers from the University of Reading compared Northern European weather data to instances of solar storms reaching Earth and discovered that lightning strikes during and after a solar event increased almost 25 percent.
