That’s Not a Shrimp

The goblin shark caught off Florida last week is vanishingly rare in the region.

Typically 10 to 13 feet long, goblin sharks have semi-translucent skin and are best known for their freakish jaws, which protrude during an attack. The one swept up by shrimpers off Key West last week was only the second found in the region.
