What Does 100 Look Like?

More than 4 in 5 American centenarians are women, and 1 in 3 live alone.

A new report from the U.S. Census Bureau uncovered some revealing facts about American older than 100. The data, compiled from 2007 and 2011, shows that centenarians have been on the rise in America, but making it past 100 is still exceedingly rare.
