A Rare Tetrad of Total Lunar Eclipses

There will be four events in the next two years.

People in the United States will see four total lunar eclipses in a row in the next two years, an uncommon event that will happen only eight times this century. This cycle begins in the early-morning hours of April 15, followed by events on Oct. 8, 2014, April 4, 2015, and Sept. 28, 2015.
