LSD Is Back in the Lab

For the first time in 40 years, the U.S. has sanctioned a controlled experiment with lysergic acid diethylamide, better known as LSD. The new study in the Journal of Nervous and Mental Disease (PDF) is small, but it may prove to be a milestone in reconsidering the therapeutic benefits of the drug.
