Just Don’t Call It Suspended Animation

In Pittsburgh, surgeons will use “induced hypothermia” to keep gun and knife victims alive longer.

The doctors don’t want you to call it “suspended animation”—it sounds too science fiction-y. But a report in New Scientist is sure to conjure an image or two from flights of futuristic fancy.
