Peyton Manning is maybe the best quarterback of all-time—one need look no further than Sunday night’s Broncos win over the 49ers, in which Manning threw his record-setting 509th touchdown pass, for evidence of that. It was the celebration after that toss to Demaryius Thomas, though, that revealed the secret to Manning’s greatness: His ability to make his teammates do whatever he asks.
After the game, Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders told reporters that they rehearsed the playful game of post-TD keepaway at Manning’s behest. To give the moment its proper due, we’ve tweaked the play-by-play call just a bit. Enjoy—and congratulations, Peyton.
