Between now and Election Day, Slate writers are surveying the geography and demography of the states and voters that will decide this year’s presidential election. Colorado is becoming more Democratic—will it enough to help Obama? Can McCain take back New Hampshire, which voted for Kerry, and hang on to Ohio, the state that put President Bush over the top in 2004?  We’ll also examine the differences between a swing voter and a swing state, and profile some voting blocs that could prove pivotal.
