Media pound U.S. officials on Iraq-North Korea double standard. New York Times says Saudis have privately pledged to let U.S. use their facilities for war. Publicly, Saudis deny it. Neither report clarifies whether Saudi aid depends on U.N. approval. Iraq gives inspectors a list of scientists for interviews. At Iraqi government press conference an Iraqi scientist urges colleagues to bring Iraqi officials with them to interviews. Peace spin: Without Iraqi officials on hand, inspectors will bully scientists. War spin: Without Iraqi officials on hand, scientists will expose Iraq's WMD programs.
