Randy’s Wrap-Up: Corrections

Kalyan Kolachala emended my etymology of the name of an Indian missile (Answer No. 50), as did N. Ravi, who wrote: “Prithvi, the Indian short-range missile, is assumed by people in Pakistan to be named after Prithviraj Chauhan, a Hindu king. In fact, it takes its name from the Sanskrit word ‘prithvi,’ meaning the Earth.”

I’m also cautioned, by someone calling himself “Dan Simon,” hat one can’t mock U.S. intelligence with impunity.

And I’m informed about the importance of attending a cousin’s wedding by someone calling herself “Mom.”

Thank you. I’m never too old to learn. Or to get an unlisted number.

Augmented Quotations (final sentence added by “News Quiz”)

“Well let me tell you something, the potholes represent the hopes and aspirations of our people. And the devil’s head represents my wild side–some tattoo, eh?”–Al D’Amato
