130. J.B. FUQUA–$2 million to Dr. Robert Schuller’s CRYSTAL CATHEDRAL (Calif.) to create the Fuqua International School of Christian Communications from the chairman of Fuqua Capital. Earlier gifts from Fuqua to other institutions include $20 million to Duke University; $5.5 million to the Dorothy C. Fuqua Conservatory at the Atlanta Botanical Garden; and $12 million for the Fuqua School in Farmville, Va.



130. DENNIS GILLINGS–$2 million to the UNIVERSITY OF NORTH CAROLINA AT CHAPEL HILL for the School of Public Health. Gillings is chairman and CEO of Quintiles Transnational Corp.



130. BARBARA GORNTO–$2 million to OLD DOMINION UNIVERSITY (Va.) from the widow of the chairman of NationsBank Corp. MidAtlantic Group to help construct a distance-learning center.

130. HUGH M. and ELIZABETH INMAN–$2 million to PACE ACADEMY (Ga.), the largest gift in the school’s 39-year history. Hugh Inman is chairman of HMI Enterprises. The Inmans made the gift as a gesture of gratitude for the education their two sons received at the academy. The Inmans are donors and officers of the Hugh M. Inman Foundation.
