Ginger and Richard Rhodes
Entry 16:
Rhodeman,
You called me Ginger. Are you angry with me? You only call me Ginger when you're angry with me.
I just read through the list for the 2001 Guggenheim Fellowships. There are some interesting and odd-sounding projects this year. Peyton Place as a social and cultural artifact. Loneliness and experience. A biography of the spinal cord. The organization of work in ant colonies. The voter turnout puzzle. Comic-book journalism. I think a biography of the spinal cord would be interesting. The comic-book journalism project would have to include Brenda Starr. She was an important role model for me as a young girl.
xo,
