You are incorrigible. Who the hell is Van Heflin?

I don't know about the prayer, but every pilot I know intends to land the plane, with or without engines. When I started flying out of the airport in Chester, Conn., the first thing my flight instructor taught me was how to land the plane in the treetops. Mike said if I lose the engine after takeoff, I better be ready to land in the trees that surround the airport. Pilots are taught to keep flying the plane, no matter what. But let's don't talk about "alternate outcomes"--I have a flight in a few hours.
