I'm in Cleveland and last night saw Chicago. Which, I don't need to tell you, is better than being in Chicago and seeing Cleveland. Though I understand it was one of Rodgers and Hammerstein's best rust-belt musicals. I only caught the second act after the Plain Dealer book and author dinner, and then had another dinner at Ciao Cucina with Alan Thicke, who is playing the razzle-dazzle lawyer Johnnie Cochran must have modeled himself on.
Glad to hear that you enjoyed yourself at Godzilla. Personally, I think the fact that the "ugly big lizard" got a warm reception bodes better for Al Gore than the environmental movement. But that, like everything else, is for Ken Starr to decide.
Like you, I was also glad to see someone finally challenge Microsoft. One of Janet Reno's quickest decisions ever--as soon as Microsoft grabbed 92 percent of the market she just jumped right in. What worried me was when Bill Gates said yesterday that he's going to "turn to the courts." Did that mean legal action or a purchase? Though I'm sure the Justice Department has capable lawyers, this case may be more suitable for Godzilla.
