Big Tobacco responds to new FDA rules by spinning "light" into "gold" and "ultralight" into "silver."

Beginning June 22, cigarette makers must remove the words light, mild, and low from tobacco packs and advertising. The tobacco companies are complying with the letter of the law—but they are still getting their message across to smokers.
