Slate is hiring a senior editor for a full-time, 14-month position. Ideal candidates will be smart, funny, and energetic; have excellent news sense and good judgment; write sparkling copy and headlines; and be deft, sensitive editors. Five years editorial experience required; experience working online strongly preferred. Good humor and menschiness also a big plus. The position is full time, on staff, with benefits; though temporary, and scheduled to conclude December 2015, the position could become ongoing. Slate welcomes candidates from all backgrounds.
