In a July 19 Bad Astronomy, Phil Plait misidentified the area around the Bahamas as the Caribbean Sea. It is the Atlantic Ocean.

In a July 18 Brow Beat​, Katy Waldman misstated that the poet Chris Vitiello was a professor. He teaches creative writing, but is not a professor. 

In a July 18 Moneybox blog post, Alison Griswold misstated that Microsoft's layoffs would be the fourth-largest ever in tech. They would be the fourth-largest for a U.S.-based tech firm in the past 25 years.

In a July 18 Slatest, Ben Mathis-Lilley misstated that Ukrainian rebel leader Igor Girkin asserted that flight MH17’s victims had been killed several days before the plane crashed. He said that he had been told this was the case by individuals who had seen the bodies.

In a July 18 Science, Boer Deng misstated that about 100 passengers aboard Flight MH17 were heading to the International AIDS Conference. After the release of the passenger manifest, the International AIDS Society reported that six delegates were among those killed.

In a July 18 Weigel, David Weigel misspelled John Cornyn’s first name.

In a July 18 Weigel​, David Weigel misstated that Sen. Elizabeth Warren is a representative.

In a July 17 Outward, Dee Lockett originally misspelled Mike Hadreas’ last name. 

In a July 17 Slatest, Irene Chidinma Nwoye misspelled Damany Lewis' first name.​

In a July 17 Slatest, Ben Mathis-Lilley misspelled Ukrainian.

In a July 17 Slatest, Elliot Hannon misstated that just over 1 percent of interviewees in a CDC survey on sexual orientation identified as “something else.” That number represents the percentage of respondents who identified as "something else" or did not provide an answer.​

In a July 17 The World, Joshua Keating misspelled Jacob Heilbrunn’s last name.

In a July 17 The World, Joshua Keating misstated that an El Al flight from Tel Aviv to London was shot down in 1952. The 1955 flight was from Vienna to Tel Aviv. He also misstated that a downed Siberian Airlines flight was en route to Tel Aviv. It was en route from Tel Aviv. He also misstated that a KAL 707 was a 747.

Due to a production error, a July 17 The World misstated that Saudi Arabia and Syria are friends. They are enemies.

In a July 17 Weigel, David Weigel misidentified MH17 as MA17.

In a July 16 Future Tense blog post, Ariel Bogle misstated that UPS offers 3-D printing services. It is the UPS Store, a subsidiary of UPS, that offers the services.

In a July 16 Future Tense blog post, Lily Hay Newman misspelled Carleton University. 

In a July 16 Lexicon Valley blog post​, Gretchen McCulloch misspelled Phrygian.

In a July 16 Moneybox blog post, Jordan Weissmann misspelled DirecTV.

In a July 16 Music Box, Carl Wilson misspelled Stephen Colbert’s first name.

In a July 16 Science, Katy Waldman misspelled Ricky Schroder's last name.​

In a July 16 Weigel, David Weigel misspelled Businessweek reporter Peter Coy’s last name.

Due to an editing error, a July 15 Brow Beat that referred to a Vine video featuring the song “Lady” by D'Angelo included a Vine of “Come and Talk to Me” by Jodeci. The Vine has been replaced. 

In a July 15 The Spot, Jeremy Stahl misspelled the first name of pop star Lily Allen.

In a July 14 The Spot, Jeremy Stahl implied that Spain’s 2013 team had won the Euro and World Cup championships. Spain at the time was merely the reigning holder of those titles.

In a July 14 Weigel, David Weigel misstated that Laura Ingraham recently endorsed David Brat. She recently endorsed Joe Carr.

In a July 14 Weigel, David Weigel misstated in the headline that Rahm Emanuel trailed his primary challenger by 22 point. He also misstated in the post that Emanuel lost Democratic primary votes. Emanuel is facing a general election challenger. The headline has been changed. 

In a July 12 The Spot, Jeremy Stahl misstated Manuel Neuer’s age. He is 28 years old, not 23.

In a July 11 Bad Astronomy, Phil Plait misstated that there were 19 shortlist entries in the RGO's Astronomy Photographer of the Year contest. There are 250.

In a July 11 Medical Examiner, Tara C. Smith misstated Edward Jenner’s first name as Edwin.

In a July 11 Slatest, Ben Mathis-Lilley misspelled the name of the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

In a July 11 Science, Jane Hu misstated that a petition from scientists questioning the Human Brain Project also questioned the Brain Research Through Advancing Innovative Neurotechnologies Initiative. The petition refers to HBP only.

In a July 9 Outward, Mark Joseph Stern linked to the Maryland bill HB 17 when discussing Maryland's cyberbullying law Grace’s Law. The link has been updated. 

In a July 1 Behold, Jordan G. Teicher misspelled Yunnan Province in two photo captions.
