President George W. Bush has commuted the sentence of Scooter Libby, Vice President Dick Cheney’s former chief of staff. Libby was convicted of lying and obstructing justice after an investigation into the leak of the identity of CIA operative Valerie Plame. He had been sentenced to 30 months years in federal prison.
