Sweetheart,

Speaking of behind closed doors, here’s the one detail in the book that really shocked me. Barack didn’t tell Michelle he was planning a hit on Osama Bin Laden—during the three months of preparation, or even after he ordered the raid. That was the only bit that made me think, “Bad withholding president-husband!” If you were going to order a raid to take out a notorious terrorist leader, we’d talk about it first, right? I’d definitely tell you—but you’d have to really promise not to tell anybody at work. Seriously. I mean it.
