The Toronto-based National Post reports that Standard & Poor’s decision to drop five Canadian companies from its index has caused major headaches up North: Nortel Networks, one of the five, “will likely see its stock dip below a 16-year low, as 327 million shares that are owned by the ‘index community’ will be looking for buyers at a time when the Canadian company is finding it tough to lure investors.”
