Slate wants to see the ways you organize your home and office by color.

It’s spring-cleaning time and Slate wants to see the various ways you colorganize your home and office. What is colorganizing? It’s organizing by color, such as the photo above. (That image, taken by Slate designer Holly Allen of her twin boys’ Lego bin inspired this contest.) Colorganizing requires a keen design eye and perhaps a dash of OCD. The best submissions will be placed in a gallery on Slate next month.

Photo Requirement:

The photo must be taken by you. By submitting any of the ways below you are giving Slate the OK to republish your photo. You retain the rights to the image, however.

Deadline:

Show us how well you colorganize by Friday, April 13.

How to Submit:

1) Email us at slatecolorcontest@gmail.com.
2) Tag a photo on Instagram #colorganize. In the caption please include “This is for Slate’s colorganizing contest.”
3) Tag a photo on Flickr #colorganize. In the caption, please include “This is for Slate’s colorganizing contest.”
